Police Station Blown Up in Bulgarian Zone in Iraq

A police station was blown up in the Iraqi city of al-Hindia last Friday, Bulgaria's Defense Ministry reported.

The city is a part of the zone patrolled by the Bulgarian troops in Iraq. The explosives were planted in the building and seriously damaged it. Despite the explosion no casualties were reported.

At present a 500-strong Bulgarian unit is deployed in the holy city of Karbala as a part of the multinational contingent under Polish command.
