Israel's Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor has urged the European Union to place Hezbollah on its list of terrorist organizations.

"The EU must send a clear message that Hezbollah can no longer target its citizens with impunity. The voices of the victims of Hezbollah terror call on us to take collective action - and work together to bankrupt the world's most dangerous charity," Prosor has declared, as cited by EJP.

Prosor's statement follows last week's Bulgarian report stating that the Hezbollah organization may have been involved in last year's Burgas bus bombing.

Only two EU countries currently label Hezbollah a terrorist organization—the UK and the Netherlands. The UK blacklists only the military wing of the Shiite organization.

The Israeli Ambassador to the UN has stressed that the only 'difference" between the military and political wings of Hezbollah "is that the political wing negotiates the sum of drug cartel money that the military wing later uses to purchase weaponry."

Blacklisting the organization could allow regional authorities to clamp down on financial flows to the group and open the way for freezing assets linked to Hezbollah in Europe.
