Bulgaria's former President Georgi Parvanov (2002-2012) has declared that he will not run for MP at the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2013.

Speaking in the city of Pernik, Parvanov reiterated that his left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) should enter a broad coalition after the elections.

The former President called upon BSP leader Sergey Stanishev to declare a clear commitment to winning the elections, dnevnik.bg informs. He added that the party's unity is unquestionable.

In August, Parvanov revealed that he is yet to give up on politics, vowing a comeback in the fall.
