Yes, it is cruel because they are only animals who do not understand what is being done to them. Some idiot likened the cruelty to war. In a war the participants are normally human and therefore know what they are doing. What happens to them is their fault. What happens to the dogs is NOT their fault but the fault of barbaric uncivilised Bulgarian animals
