Bulgaria's Revenue Agency Connects Online to 160 Stores
2010-07-27 17:28:55
The National Revenue Agency has established a distant connection to 160 retail stores of 10 companies in Bulgaria.
The online connection is established through an integrated automated system for trade management. The system registers the sales analogically to the cash registers and is in constant Internet connection to the National Revenue Agency (NAP).
In this way, the stores submit daily their revenue reports to the agency.
The companies, whose stores are reporting online, are: Metro Cash and Carry, Billa, Carrefour, Penny Market, Hilton, Sheraton Sofia Balkan, Grand Hotel Sofia, Vik – Varna, Holiday Inn and Kempinski Hotel Zografski.
NAP has expressed its hopes for increase of the number of companies soon due to the decreased threshold for using the new distant system from EUR 10 M to EUR 5 M.
From 2011 all retail stores will have to establish a distant connection to the informational system of NAP.
The agency has noted that if a retail store that is distantly connected to NAP issues a receipt saying “system receipt”, instead of “fiscal receipt”, it would not be considered a tax violation.
However, NAP warns that “system receipt” can be received only in the stores that are using the distant connection.
