Extensive Fire Reported in Suburb of Bulgaria's Varna

A large fire is raging in the Asparuhovo suburb in Bulgaria’s Black Sea capital Varna.

The news was announced Monday evening by the spokesperson of the local police directorate.

The fire started at the roof of a facility housing an old textile factory, an office building, and a day care center.

No injuries have been reported. The fire began around 7 pm with firefighters still on the scene, trying to extinguish the blaze.

The spokesperson says the roof had been in the process of being repaired and the fire, most likely, started there. As of the moment there is no evidence of arson.
