Commenting article: Attacker of Key Bulgarian Politician 'Did Not Want to Kill Him'

Oktay Enimehmedov, the 25-year-old man who assaulted Movement for Rights and Freedoms leader Ahmed Dogan with a gas pistol, believed he was probably going to die during his attack, it emerged on Sunday.

Enimehmedov left a letter in his Sofia apartment, according to Bulgarian Interior Ministry psychology unit head Nedelcho Stoychev.

HELL YEAH HE TRIED TO KILL HIM. The gun misfired, after the man at the podium pushed his arm away, the guy with the gun takes a step behind him and tries to unjam the gun and point it again at the guy, right before he gets tackled. It was a cold blooded attempt at murder no question about it. They should have let the one guy sit there and beat the scumbag to death like he was trying to.

"HE TRIED TO KILL"...Really? O-la-la...There are other opinions, btw:

"The gun was a gas pistol, able to fire only tear gas, not bullets, and the worst it could have done was give its target a dose of coughing and stinging, watery eyes. Clearly, no assassination was possible or planned; but i wonder what the guy did intend. -- maybe just to give the politician a good scare?"
