And to quote 'UK countryside', the whole place I either intensive farming or country estates, you make it sound idyllic like a place off 'Midsomer Murders'. No countryside is left, the country is shot to bits from ownership and money making schemes, the countryside is economic driven like anywhere else in the UK, don't make me concerned of your relevance by making such a lacklustre remark. Maybe you are more concerned over your image than you make out?
I'm sorry Seedy for sounding patronising, I just find your whole character formulated, to create an image that you are not. Maybe you're an old man who has never quite made it or something. Take some advice, quit your false persona, and do something constructive in life.
A good grasp of English is an end in itself and "buys" nothing that would be of value to a semi-literate person - it's also a mark of respect to the people with whom one is trying to communicate.
Tellingly, you seem to regard possessions as some sort of indication of personal worth, which probably says all that is needed. Since you ask, my work has bought me properties in several prestigious parts of Sofia (including Boyana, I'm afraid), together with two in London, another in the UK countryside, one in Greece and an 80 acre estate in France with a mas dating back to to the 15th century. Unlike you, I don't feel the need to boast about such things however: there are many people, both richer and poorer than I, who make better contributions to the world and the people in it; sadly, I have seen no signs that you figure among their number.
In fact your level of English fills me with sadness, instead of dating women, enjoying yourself and being a human I imagine you have been locked away in a cupboard. It's sad to imagine your life, repressed, oppressed and given nothing more than a dictionary to content yourself with, the ingredients of a psychopath. Don't do anything too crazy to fellow humans, please, you're better than that.
What opinions are they, in fact my opinions seem to be taken heed of like the ATP tournament, who was it that suggested it? Myself. Who created a multilingual, multi industrial and multi business model for the Danube shipping industry? Myself. What have you done? I don't know, from what I can make out you seem to be limited other than your grasp of English, you are decent at that I have to say. Better than myself, but I won't feel inferior. Chao
Your quips Seedy are like those from a school child. I can't imagine that you have done anything serious in life or made other peoples lives better throughout your whole life. A genuine point of concern that is met with your cynicism is laughable, what buzz do you get out of it? Megalomaniac tendencies?
Can we assume that the "aspirational tourists" you refer to are the ones like yourself, ie with delusions of adequacy? Perhaps they'd need to shed the chips on their shoulders and their habit of spraying grocer's apostrophes about before we allow them into the country: while it's good to take their money, one has to have some standards, old boy.
I feel that Bulgaria needs to promote itself in the same way Croatia and to a lesser extent Montenegro do. They have high end level and a sophisticated approach to targeting aspirational tourists, this is shown by YouTube companies like \'Cities in 4k\'. Bulgaria whilst sitting on top of decent tourist revenues can\'t afford to become second choice and should improve it\'s high end communications, a multitude of aggressive and high quality secondary media publications will help this. I would expect that YouTube and other social media sites to have a greater level of significance and show some sexy and attractive \'pulls\' to international citizens. Like I have written, Croatia and Montenegro are ahead right now.
