Commenting article: Bulgaria’s Protests May Bring Back Borisov, Topple Him Again - Kostov

Ivan Kostov, former leader of the right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) party and former prime minister, has warned the ongoing protests can provide no political solution.

“The public outrage toppled Borisov and can bring down Stanishev too, paving the way for Borisov to return and then kick him out again,” Kostov said on Sunday, referring to the former prim minister Boyko Borisov and the Socialist leader, who formed the current cabinet.

“Any expectations that the street protests have the potential to provide a political solution doom them to failure.

This man is right and the protesters should listen to this council. The current PM has acknowledged his mistake and made amends he should now be allowed to prove himself trustworthy, if he (and the socialist leadership that backs him) make another bad move then people can take to streets again. All this unrest is now achieving nothing, in fact its negative, if it brings down the government, who are now doing things differently, we will never be allowed to see if they would work.

Protesters should note that the people didn't give any one party the right to govern unleashed in the last election, the electorate voted for a coalition government and that is what they currently have. After a shaky start, quite rightly given a slapped wrist by the people, it should now be allowed to govern, time to protest is later if they are seen to be in breach of the electorates trust. BB and GERB should also take note that they are now in opposition which is a very important position to be in, cut out the crap of not attending parliament this is not what the people expect from you, APPOSE, you are the check & balance to expose and prevent the wrongs of governments decisions.

Perhaps one day Kostov will have the decency to step down altogether and free his constituency from the spell of his strongman, pseudo-rightist, devout of any understanding of and respect for democracy and free enterprise system persona?Alas no chance..........
The guy has no respect for the Will of the People in any shape or form. Nobody but me, eh? Just another wolf in a ship skin....

”Poor Bulgaria” someone previously said. I agree........

Perhaps one day Kostov will explain why he was stopped by customs on the Swiss-German border with a suitcase stuffed full of cash?
