Bulgarian Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party has requested an annulment of ballots cast in Turkey for Bulgaria's May 12 early general elections over what they claimed were a number of irregularities at polling stations in Bulgaria's neighbor.

Tania, the sordid details on the Turkish "vote" are here:

Former Commie agent Mestan must be sweating over this a little, although I'm sure his pals in the CEC and judiciary will ensure this story is just glossed over.

Chushki, where did you get the info re 28 seconds to vote from? Am curious.

It seems that the Turks are very conscientious and very fast indeed!

Strange and unbelievable it is that almost 50,000 (obviously very concientious) Turks voted in Turkey when half of the population of BG did not bother to vote at all.

Just 28 seconds per vote in Turkey which includes validating the voters credentials, providing the ballot, explaining the voting process, the voter going behind the curtain to tick the box and submitting the ballot - Bravo, this is a record the electoral authorities should justifiably be proud of. No wonder Seedy is convinced his Fez wearing chums are the new ?bermensch!
