Commenting article: Amnesty International Urges Bulgaria to Halt Attacks on Roma

The human rights organization Amnesty International urges Bulgarian authorities to stop the escalation of violence, expressed in racially-motivated attacks against the Roma community in the country.

"The Bulgarian authorities have the obligation under international human rights law to ensure the security and the physical integrity of everyone, without any discrimination. They have to exercise due diligence to prevent, investigate, punish and provide redress for racially motivated crimes by private individuals or groups," a special declaration of the organization reads.

Amnesty International further point out they are monitoring the situation and are urging Bulgarian authorities to put in place all the necessary measures to stop racially-motivated attacks against Roma and to duly investigate the racial motivation in attacks against Roma neighborhoods and individuals.

Amnesty international should not interfere with the peoples court. How dare they try and stop the peoples revenge. There has always been tension amongst true bulgarians and the roma ( who in my opinion should hold a different travel document stating they are roma travelling under the guise of the country they are guests of ) at least when they are captured robbing and thieving their way across europe, people will at least know they are not true nationals. Bulgarians carry their countries name and pride in their hearts. It is true that roma filth earn their living from other peoples misery, and thats the same in any country, we have gypsies too in the uk, and i despise them just as much, for they pray also on the vulnerable, especial, oly the elderly, often extorting vast sums of money for small repairs, they live in caravans, on any land they can get to, pay no taxes, claim every benefit they can, and yet drive the most up to date top of the range vehicles, through their illegal activities. The one solution i can think of to the roma situation ( apart from ethnic cleansing ) is give them their own country ( like the jews after ww2 ) and let them live together, work together, survive together, rob each other together, and leave the genuine to live and work and spend their hard earned wage as they want, without fear of it being stolen.

This is great that someone would come to the aid of Roma when they are being treated unfairly and advocate the rule of law.

"The Bulgarian authorities have the obligation under international human rights law to ensure the security and the physical integrity of everyone, without any discrimination. They have to exercise due diligence to prevent, investigate, punish and provide redress for racially motivated crimes by private individuals or groups,"

Where was amnesty all these years to stop the racially motivated Roma crime against individuals and groups? Do you see the hypocrisy? All people deserve someone to care about them and protect them. Stop fueling the conflict.

External interference, disgraceful. What would Amnesty International know about human rights anyway?
