Commenting article: Alleged Mafia Bosses Confirm Candidature for Bulgaria Elections

The infamous Galevi brothers, who are allegedly amongst Bulgaria's central mafia bosses, have confirmed that they are going to run for election this summer.

Plamen Galev and Angel Hristov are currently in custody but their lawyer, Menko Menkov, stated Tuesday that they had told him in visiting hours to "Tell them that we will be candidates", BNT reported.

Menkov also confirmed that they will not be putting forward their candidature for the European Parliament but will instead concentrate on this summer's Bulgarian general elections.

Basically most of the candidates in the elections are for prison and the Galevi brothers have the advantage to have spent some time in jail while the others will never go there and therefore are suspectible to continue stealing and taking bribes.

"They are from Dupnitsa."

I am sure the whole of Dupnitza (and no one else) will vote for them. All 432 of them. LOL

Seriously, in Dupnitza these people are considered the modern-day Robin Hoods. They steal from the rich and bring the bacon home to Dupnitza.

They are from Dupnitsa. That should explain everything.

I don't know what scares me more: the fact that those mutri run for the election or that there are people who would even vote for them or be paid to vote for them or threatened to do so or what ever...

grrr
