Commenting article: All Blame on the Commission! (MEP Approaches)

Other than being the only internationally elected legislature, the European Parliament demonstrates a number of other oddities.

In an inspired move on Thursday, for example, the Parliament adopted a text as part of the report discharging the European Commission of the 2007 Budget, practically stating that the Commission had deceived not only the nice MEPs but also the good governments of Bulgaria and Romania over the Bulgaria's and Romania's preparedness to absorb EU money.

This text is actually a toned down version of an earlier draft which said "the European Commission has neglected the Copenhagen criteria for membership and has misled the public opinion and the European Parliament about the preparedness of Bulgaria and Romania, and has thus harmed the reputation of the European Union, and the stable development of those states".

"You don't even know how to flirt, for Heaven's sake!"

What's the point in flirting with someone you find disgusting?

Go visit your friendly neighborhood psychiatrist. He'll love you.

"Don't bother to feel sorry for me, love me, or anywhere in between. Just quit pestering me."

Why would I pester you? You haven't paid the slightest attention to me. You don't even know how to flirt, for Heaven's sake!

"then you start whining again about how love didn't find you "

I didn't do any whining. I made a simple statement. Read it any way you want; it still won't come out the way I wrote it.

Don't bother to feel sorry for me, love me, or anywhere in between. Just quit pestering me.

"the Church is composed of deluded dimwits"

Gee, I hadn't thought of it this way, but now you have said it............

"No. It's your persistence in spite of being asked to stop several times, and so long as you think the Church is composed of deluded dimwits you're not even in the running."

I stopped, but then you start whining again about how love didn't find you and I start feeling sorry for you again, the warm and fuzzy sweetie that I am.

It always comes down to the Church. It is nothing personal against me. That's nice to know.

"Is that the reason? "

No. It's your persistence in spite of being asked to stop several times, and so long as you think the Church is composed of deluded dimwits you're not even in the running.

"I have always been "receptive", but nobody was giving out. "

What about me, Bill? I even told you my e-mail, if you wanted to, you could have started something. You are just not that into it. Do you believe the gossip that I am a fat American slut? Is that the reason? I can assure you, I am neither fat nor American.

I'm beginning to doubt your abilities in English comprehension. GIVE IT UP!

I have always been "receptive", but nobody was giving out. They were so busy trying to prove they can do anything men can that they failed to do what men can't do.

"No run-around. Just the cold shoulder. GIVE IT UP!"

This attitude right here is why you haven't found love. You are not giving any woman a chance to love you and to make you happy. You have been giving women the cold shoulder all your life. You are not open to having a relationship with a woman. The door is closed. I really feel like I can make you happy. Maybe you feel that you couldn't make me happy? Feeling inadequate?

I have no idea what your package looks like, but I know I like you. You deserve love more than anyone in the universe, having waited such a long time. Poor baby! I am going to love you, so don't give me the run-around.

Are you walking in the park when the weather is nice?

Nellie:

N, I never looked for perfection. I wouldnt know what to do with it if I had. But I learned a long time ago that the contents of the package are much more important than the wrapping.

But you have to know someone for quite some time before you can see past the wrapping. Especially in our present- day society, where so much emphasis is put on "image", most of which is phony.

"I've waited a long time to find real love, but there's not much left to be had."

Maybe your standards are too high. Or you seek perfection, which puts a lot of pressure on the woman and on the relationship. I love best the men who don't expect anything from me. It is easy to be with them. Maybe mediocrity should be enough, accept it and relax. Also, every cloud has its silver lining. For example--if your woman is not very attractive, that is a good thing. She won't leave you.

I am sure it is not lust, it is celestial. I have NO idea what you look like, but somehow I feel you are exactly the kind of man I like, by just what you say and how you say it. For men it's very important how a woman looks, but for women love is all between the ears (hint: in the brain). I think you are wonderful. I haven't the slightest proof, but I have my certainty. lol

Nellie:

Too much of what is called "love" today is some mixture of animal magnetism and lust. Real love takes time to mature; you don't hop into bed on the same evening you meet!

I've waited a long time to find real love, but there's not much left to be had.
