The Russian government intends to restore its ownership over that and many other properties outside Russia, Kozin explained.

CJR,

WHY ARE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ARROGANT?

"Exactly! So shut up and do not pretend you know....!"

TO YOUR INFORMATION ...THIS AS A PUBLIC FORUM AND EVERYBODY WHO

WISHESTO AIR HIS/HER OPINION IS MORE THAN FREE TO DO SO.

I did not say that Russua ought to sue BG as I do not know details about this case.

You were the ONE,who started this topic and I JUST aired my opinion, that if Bulgartabak were owned by USSR,

than probably Russia as a successor of USSR would have had a claim.

Russia the successor of USSR? LOL and what about all countries from Estonia to Turkmenistan?
It should be split accordingly, but only after Russia settles all of it's debts to Bulgarian producers made during the end of 80's and beginning of 1990's when Bulgaria was ripped off in the most barbaric manner.

STEALTHY,

I do not know what you mean by saying:" Russia do not recognise any claims by

other states for property of USSR abroad and on the territory of USSR"?

The sentence does not make sense.

IEXUSE ME I DID NOT STUDY RUSSIA'S STATE LAW...I studied German

Grundgesets and USA Contract,Criminal ,Wills &TRUSTS a.s.o.

As far as I know Russia inherited all legal obligations of USSR to the International commuity.

I drew a paralel to FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY (BRD),which after the WWII

took over all legal claims of foreign entities and PAID MILLIONS FOR RESTITUTION

TO THE ISRAELI STATE or other European states.

And what the Bolsheviki have to do with Bulgartabak?

I do not know if they paid any restitution to the companies, who had had propety

in Russia.

The fact that I studied Law does NOT make me an expert in the LAW OF EVERY

COUNTRY!

resipsaloquitur - RECEIPT ,

you are wasting your time and money getting the education abroad !

The USSR was a country of 15 states joined Russia on their free will or annexed by force in course of the history . Every of the states had its goverment , relative structures and contributed a lot to the USSR budget . The problem is that Russia , as the former USSR successor , does not recognize ANY claims of other states for the USSR property located not only abroad but in Russia as well ...

Hence , each of other 14 states has a right to claim its share of the tobacco company . If it works , the countries like France , Germany , Belgium and UK might also reclaim the property to have been nationalized by communists after 1917 in Russia ...

Legally Russia is successor of USSR as Moskow was the capital of USSR.

Therefore Russia would have an LEGITIMATE CLAIM against BG ,if Bulgartabak

realy belonged to it.

It is questionable that they did NOT come on this idea until now.

Hmmm. But USSR no longer exists! Should Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc. also be making claims for "ownership" of Bulgartabac?

Is it just me or this just added pressure on the old Kalashnikov license saga?
