Commenting article: Russian Foreign Minister: What is Need for US bases in Bulgaria?

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, has stated that Russia is trying to understand why the US military needs to have bases in Bulgaria.

In a lengthy interview for The Financial Times Thursday Lavrov commented on the Russia-NATO council and its founding documents. He said "Russia- NATO Council founding documents stipulate several very important things..... including agreement that there would be no deployment of substantial combat forces on the territory of new NATO members."

Lavrov continued; "So when military bases, or American military bases were put into Bulgaria and Romania, we have been raising, invoking this provision of Russia- NATO Council, trying to understand what the need for these bases is and how this would fit into this commitment. And we were told that those basis would not represent substantial combat forces."

STEALTHY,
The US FORCES DID NOT LEAVE GERMANY...they just moved 600km westwards

to the main base Kaiserslautern.

THERE ARE STILL 120000 US soldiers in Germany, dispersed in 10 military bases.

In my opinion there was NO need for US Military bases in Bulgaria as the country is not threatened by anyone.

There were NOT any terror acts on BG souil...for what in the world should we

support the americans on their "crazy"
ar on Terror

So...now the "smart "Americans are sending more soldiers to Afganistan...

actually they are sending there all States Fire brigades...

regrettably the FIRE is NOT in Afganistan but in Pakistan.

Now they started talking that the SWATT VALLEY is an IMMINENT DANGER FOR THE USA!
The poor peasants there want to shoot a NUCLEAR MISSLE to Washington DC.

Stealit

"One day , you will have to make choice what part you are on , US , EU or Russia ."

Bulgaria has already made its choice in no uncertain terms - EU and NATO, not Russia. The only thing Russia will get from Bulgaria is badly built and overpriced hovels in the vicinity of the Black Sea.

Whose sock puppet are you, anyway? The brain dead buachaill bo? Or some Belgian piece of crap? Go piss in your hot chocolate.

Nelie , Kolega or whoever you are ,

I say again and again , the point is your mentality . Probably , that is why you do not understand well what other people say ...

Bulgaria reminds me a whore who is going to take clients money without fukcing with them ... lol ... as a result , she is always beaten and left on highway naked ... know story , is not it ?

Energy sources are the most eesential instrument of Russians to blackmail the West and EU in particular . They are a bit embarrassed by NATO enlargement and have no idea , like me by the way , where it should be stopped at . Hence , signing some Russian-Bulgarian deal like "South stream" would mean you play for Russia . One day , you will have to make choice what part you are on , US , EU or Russia . Otherwise , you risk to be beaten and left naked like those Builgarian prostitute in Italy .

"The Agreement is based on the understanding that Bulgaria and the United States are allies, that security, defense and the fight against terror are joint work, based on the goals and principles of the UN and on shared values."

"UN principles and the values" were not considered as serious obstacle when one of superpowers unileterally decided to invade into Iraq and Afghanistan against existing UN resolutions and International law based on the principles of duly elected government recognition . Allocation US military bases credited and provided additional support for Bulgaria and Romania during joining EU and NATO .

To be simple , Amercians did not wanna get away from Europe when it was a time to withdraw troops from Germany and there were not other contries that had wanted to see them except these two . So , you may stuff these stinky talks of UN principles up your ass !

The Republic of Bulgaria and The United States have signed a Defense Cooperation Agreement which refers to the conditions of the shared use of several military facilities on Bulgarian territory. The Agreement is based on the understanding that Bulgaria and the United States are allies, that security, defense and the fight against terror are joint work, based on the goals and principles of the UN and on shared values. The U.S. has also signed a similar agreement with Romania.
