Commenting article: Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP Turned on after Repairs Were Completed Early

The planned annual repair works on Unit 5 of Bulgaria's Nuclear Power Plant Kozloduy, which started on June 7, have been completed two weeks earlier than scheduled.

The reactor was turned on Friday night after all modernization work, refueling, and routine inspections had been completed, and a permit was issued by the Sofia-based Nuclear Regulation Agency.

Why turn it on? Turn it off once and for all times would be better. Sooner or later politicians will understand that they are prisoners of insecurity, not to say of dummity!!!

He seems to be implying it's the coal and gas lobbyist who are campaigning against nuclear.....which frankly is quite believable.

The only encouraging thing is he is not an enemy of renewables. So there is hope for renewables yet...
