The decision of the European Commission (EC) regarding the reinstitution of the Bulgaria PHARE program Agencies' accreditations is expected by the end of the week, the Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Plugchieva announced on Monday.
Plugchieva further stated that she was expecting positive results due to the country's significant progress in absorbing the European funds.
As far as the ISPA program is concerned, November 23 has been the deadline to submit audit documentation to the Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hubner. Bulgaria has submitted a proposal about a financial correction of the program's technical assistance before the deadline.
A group of experts, lead by Hubner is scheduled to arrive in Bulgaria in December. It is expected that the Commissioner would declare her position regarding the ISPA program after the visit.
