The Sofia municipality is going to complete the renovation of the city's cemeteries "Bakurena Fabrika", "Gorna Banya", Malachevtsi" and the Central Sofia Cemetery, the municipality's press center announced on Sunday.
The amount to be invested in the renovation is BGN 3, 6 M, Irina Slavova, Deputy Mayor for Investments and Construction explained.
The majority of the funds are going to be used for paving the alleys and renovating the sidewalks. The municipality is also going to build fences to preserve the parks from acts of vandalism as well as new restroom facilities.
The square in front of the Central Sofia Cemetery's church is also going to be repaved and renovated.
