A Bulgarian woman, who has recently emigrated to the US, has found on her first day on the job as store clerk USD 7,500 left by mistake in a shoe box and has returned them to the store management.

After receiving their money back, the owners have offered Teodora Petrova a monetary reward for her good deed.

The incident happened in Glenn Carbon, Illinois, in one of the "Goodwill" stores in the town. The Goodwill company has over 2,000 stores in North America and sells new or slightly used second hand clothes, who have been donated in order to provide assistance to disadvantaged and unemployed individuals.

The Bulgarian employee has found the money in a box containing old shoes that have been donated to the store. The store's management was successful in finding the donors, who were not aware that the money has been in the box. The old shoes belonged to a parent, who had recently passed away.
