Bulgaria to Get Part of St. Klimen Ohridski's Relics from Macedonia

Bulgaria is to get part of the relics of Saint Kliment Ohridski from Macedonia after the Orthodox Church authorities in Skopje decided to satisfy the demand of Plovdiv Bishop Nikolay, Darik News reported Saturday.

The relics' giving will be performed by the Macedonian Bishop Timotey on November 24.

"That is act, which expresses the desire for strengthening the relations between the churches in the two countries," Skopje's Holy Synod said in a statement.

Macedonia saves the only a part of St. Kliment Ohridski's relics in Saint Pantaleon Monastery in Ohrid. His Skull is kept in Greece's Saint John the Baptist Monastery.
