A remembrance ceremony on the occasion of the 90th anniversary since the end of the World War I was held Tuesday in Sofia.
Bulgaria's EU Affairs Minister Gergana Grancharova along with the French Ambassador to the country Etienne de Poncins laid wreaths at the "Unknown Soldier" Memorial in downtown the capital city.
"I lay these flowers on behalf of 500 million European citizens," HE Etienne de Poncins said.
"Now, 90 years after the end of the war all of us united in one big European family," he added.
"By commemorating those, who died for Europe's freedom, we not just write new history but also remember the old one," Minister Granharova said.
