Light Earthquake Shakes Southwest Bulgaria

A light earthquake occurred in southwest Bulgaria around 4:22 p.m. on Saturday, the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences announced.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 3,3 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was located about 80 km southeast of the capital Sofia.

The earthquake was felt in the Yakoruda Municipality, Blagoevgrad District. No people have injured, and no material damages have been reported.
