Czech Embassy to Sofia organized Wednesday a special conference and a pivo cocktail to mark the Republic's National Holiday - the 90th anniversary since Czechoslovakia was granted its independence from Austria-Hungary.

The event took place in the Czech Culture Institute in Bulgaria's capital under the patronage of Ambassador Martin Klepetko.

The trade advisor of the Czech Republic, Jurai Melioris, presented the economic and trade relations between the two countries as well as the perspectives for future cooperation during a conference, held under the motto "We appreciate the past, we work for the future."

Among the other participants in the forum were technology and energy equipment producing companies, which have already developed quite successful projects in Bulgaria such as TEDOM and Transport Telematics Association.

Mrs. Ivanka Berovska, a senior consultant of the Czech-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, was also among the special guests, who joined the event.

After the end of the press conference, HE Klepetko has personally invited the guests to try pivo (Czech beer) and traditional Czech meals at a cocktail.
