Bulgaria's Sliven municipality is to develop its water infrastructure with the money allocated through ISPA fund as provides an agreement signed Wednesday by the town's Mayor Yordan Lechkov and Environment Minister Dzhevdet Chakarov.
All the money on the ISPA fund will be absorbed by the municipality until the end of the year.
The first project provides for constructing drainage system in the central part of Sliven.
"The value of the sewerage is set at BGN 32 M," Minister Chakarov said.
About BGN 1 B will be allocated to Bulgaria on Environment operative program. A total of 400 sites will be financed with that money, according to a statement made by the Environmental Parliamentary Commission's Chairman Georgi Bozhinov.
"A total of BGN 40 M from the budget surplus will be allocated to the additional financing of ecological infrastructure projects," he explained.
