Over Hundred Bulgarians Work for EC

A total of 143 Bulgarians currently hold administrative jobs at the European Commission (EC) in Brussels with a hiring goal of 227 by 2011, according to the EC.

102 Bulgarians have assistant positions with a quote of 133, which must be filled by 2011.

As far as Bulgarians holding management positions, currently there are competitions for 21 vacancies for Department Heads, 4 vacancies for Directors and 1 vacancy for an Executive Director at the EC offices.

The vacancies for Department Heads must be filled by the beginning of next year. The EC evaluates the hiring of Bulgarians as progressing well and satisfactory.
