Exactly 360 musicians are taking part in the third International Military Bands Festival, which is starting in Bulgaria's city of Veliko Turnovo late Tuesday afternoon.
A total of eight bands from six nations are participating in the event, which will continue until the end of the week.
Bulgaria is represented by three bands - the Brass Band of the Land Forces from the city of Pleven, the Brass Band of the National Guard, and a band from the National Military University.
The other five bands are from Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, and Turkey.
The festival will kick off with a march of all participants along Veliko Turnovo's main street, and will continue later with a formal concert in the Palace of Culture and Sports.
The Head of the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army General Zlatan Stoykov will be an official guest at the event. The country's President, Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense have been invited as well but have not confirmed their attendance.
By the end of the week, the bands from the International Festival will also stage concerts in the cities of Pleven, Stara Zagora, and Gorna Oryahovitsa.
