The French Justice Minister, Rashida Dati has assured Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev that he had the full support of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as announced Monday by the Cabinet's press center.
Dati is on an official visit in Bulgaria as a part of the French presidency of the European Union.
According to the French Justice Minister, the European Commission's reports about Bulgaria, which have been published on July 23rd have been quite critical, but since then France has seen a definitive progress made by Bulgaria in the areas of justice and interior affairs.
Both Dati and Stanishev pointed out the excellent relations between the two countries not only at the highest political level, but on the expert level as well.
Dati further stated that France was satisfied by the collaboration between Bulgaria and her country in the fight against organized crime in particular, and by their partnership in the EU in general.
