Manuela??™s Mother Becomes Sole Trustee of Her Bank Accounts: Manuela's Mother Becomes Sole Trustee of Her Bank Accounts Since Monday, Diana, the mother of Manuela, the girl who was seriously injured in car accident by figure skating champion Maxim Staviiski, is the sole trustee of Manuela's bank accounts.

Bulgarian businessman Petar Hristov's attempts to bring back to Bulgaria the mother of Manuela Gorsova, the girl who was seriously injured in car accident by figure skating champion Maxim Staviiski, have concluded successfully.

Since Monday, the mother Diana is the sole trustee of Manuela's bank accounts.

Until know, the father Krasimir Gorsov has been solely managing the charity bank accounts.

Recently, an investigative report that aired on the Bulgarian TV channel bTV revealed that the father has been gambling away the charity money collected for the treatment of his daughter in Israel. Gorsov had denied playing the slot machines as well as withdrawing any money from his daughter's bank account.

The bTV investigative team had filmed Gorsov gambling huge amounts of money and simultaneously feeding several slot machines with BGN 100 bills. The date when the film has been made is shown as June 8, 2008.

The film was qualified as disappointing and mind boggling in an interview before Darik radio by businessman Petar Hristov, one of the major charity donors for Manuela's treatment.

The mother, Diana also spoke before Darik during her short stay in Bulgaria Monday. According to Diana, her husband had told her that money would not be found missing from Manuela's charity accounts only from the accounts where Staviiski had made deposits.

Diana further said that she still did not know what amounts were missing if any, due to the volume of paperwork she needed to go through and appealed to the authorities to deal with the issue..

The mother also stated during the interview that if money would be proven missing from Manuela's accounts she would never be able to forgive her husband.

As a result of the joint campaign conducted by Darik radio, the daily newspaper "Standard" and the TV channel Nova Televizia, individuals and different businesses collected over BGN 270 000 for the girl's treatment in a special clinic in Israel, where Manuela has already spent three months with her mother by her side.

In the mean time, the news from Israeli hospital continue to be positive and Manuela is making progress with her reactions.

Then 18-year-old Manuela Gorsova was left comatose after a fatal car crash caused by world ice-dancing champion Maxim Staviski on August 5, 2007.

The deadly crash occurred after Staviiski veered into the opposite lane on a bridge over the Ropotamo River near the coastal city of Burgas and hit headlong into another car with four people riding in it. 24-years old Petar Petrov, from Sliven was killed on the spot.

At the time of the incident, the skater was driving with 1,29 per mille alcohol content.

On May 7, 2008 The Appellate Court in Bulgaria's coastal city of Burgas confirmed Staviiski's suspended involuntary manslaughter and aggravated bodily harm sentence of 2 years and 6 months with a five-year probation.

On September 24, 2008 the Supreme Court is scheduled to make the final decision regarding Staviiski's trail.
