Thousands of rockers taking part in the Balkan Motor Rock Festival in the Bulgarian city of Veliko Turnovo paid respect to the grave of the medieval Bulgarian Tsar Kaloyan (1197-1207 AD) on Saturday.

The rockers' festival was opened Friday night by the Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev, and is taking place on the Sveta Gora ("Holy Mountain") Hill in Bulgaria's medieval capital.

After leading the group of rockers, who laid flowers at the grave of Tsar Kaloyan, Stanishev joined the thousands of rockers for the honorary drive around the main streets of the city.

Stanishev led the procession on a Honda NRX 1800 motorbike, which was presented to him by the National Football Team player Blagoy Georgiev.

In the afternoon, the rockers' festival continued with various games and competitions. All participants in the event are fully equipped and abide by the safety regulations, as the festival is meant to promote safe driving.
