5-Year-Old Boy Hit by Car in Bulgarian Village, Dies

A 5-year-old boy died after he was hit by a car in Bulgaria's village of Omarchevo late on Saturday.

The child was run over by a 24-year-old driver while crossing a street in the small village.

The victim was immediately taken to a hospital in the nearby town of Nova Zagora, where he passed away shortly after the accident.

The reasons for the crash are still under investigation.
