Bulgarian milk producers across the country are to stage new rallies on Thursday, protesting against the government's policy in the sector and unpaid subsidies.
During Wednesday's protests of the farmers in the region of Vratsa, they butchered calves in public, intending to grill them later.
This was the alleged reason why the police have arrested the Chair of the National Association of Milk Producers in Bulgaria, Adrian Tsakonski, along with three other farmers.
It is expected that a group of farmers will arrive in Sofia today to stage a protest in front of the parliament. The protesters said they are to bring the heads of the animals butchered on Wednesday.
