The blasts in Chelopechene military storehouses that have recently shaken Bulgaria's capital probably came as a result of economic interests conflict, said Thursday Evgeni Ivanov, an official from Sofia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The head of the military facility Major Miroslav Mitov and his wife have been interrogated for more than two hours.
After the end of the procedure, Mitov declared only he has not committed any breaches and claimed only his wife testified.
There will be conducted a chemical - technological expertise, which is expected to reveal the reasons for the blasts, Prosecutor Kamen Sitnilski announced.
"Part of the official documents has burnt to ashes but the Defense Ministry has copies of them," he explained.
The Bulgarian capital was shaken by powerful gunpowder explosions, which were heard and felt in the whole city after the Chelopechene military facility, where tons of ammo and TNT were stored, burst into flames a week ago.
