Bulgaria's Defense Ministry has officially reported on the exact quantities of the ammunition stored in Chelopechene warehouse on fire.
There are two separate premises, where ammunitions are being disassembled. It has been utilized for half a month now, authorities reported.
At present there are kept:
- 96 tons of cartridge
- 52 tons of hand grenades
- 210 tons of grenadier ammo
- 75 tons of 23-millimeter ammos
- 48 tons of 76,2-millimeter ammos
- 252 tons of 85-millimeter ammos
- 21 tons of 100-millimeter ammos
- 17 tons of 115-millimeter ammos
- 83 tons of 122-millimeter ammos
- 94 tons of 125-millimeter ammos
- 211 tons of 152-millimeter ammos
- 20 tons of reactive depth bombs
- 23 tons of fillers
- 204 tons of detonators
- 68 tons of other pyrotechnical means
- 20 tons of other explosives.
After the explosion the gamma of the substances emitted contains nitric oxides and carbon dioxide, which could not harm human health due to the current favourable meteorological conditions in the area of the explosion, experts said.
