Starting Monday Bulgarians can ask questions and alert the authorities with respect to the spending of EU funds at a special telephone line.
For the first six hours after its launching, i.e. 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. 165 persons called the new hotline at 0 800 13 999 to get or refer information regarding the managing and absorption of EU money.
The new hotline is among the emergency measures to improve the absorption of EU funds undertaken by the specially appointed Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Plugchieva in order to save Bulgaria from sanctions over various abuses.
Any questions that the Bulgarians ask on the hotline will be answered within one month by phone or email.
