New May Day clashes have erupted in Berlin after overnight rioting in which 83 officers were hurt and two civilians seriously injured. CNN's Stephanie Halasz reported that Wednesday's violence came as left-wing counter protesters clashed with police at a demonstration organised by the far-right NPD part. Overnight there was rioting in two Berlin suburbs, with 29 arrests. One woman -- a passer-by -- was seriously injured at Prenzlauer Berg when she was struck on the head by a bottle. She was resuscitated on the spot before being taken to hospital, police said.
