Professor Ognyan Gerdzhikov is the most likely chairman of the 39th National Assembly (NA), officials from the King`s movement (SNM) said. Professor Georgi Petkanov is expected to be his deputy. `It is true that our names are mentioned, but it`s too early to talk. I myself haven`t decided as yet whether to accept this heavy responsibility or not`, Prof. Gerdzhikov commented. This Wednesday the MPs from the Parliamentary Group of the SNM will nominate their candidates for the posts of Chief, Deputy Chief of Parliament and of Chairmen of Commissions in the NA. The group is meeting today to continue work on the NA Regulations. SNM envisages four deputy chiefs of parliament-one from each PG. There will be 19 commissions in parliament, members of the SNM claim.
