Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev hopes that the upcoming EC monitoring report will reflect Bulgaria's successes, not just its problems.
Stanishev made this statement Monday during his visit to the Black Sea capital Varna.
According to the PM it would be naГЇve to expect that all problems at the Interior Ministry could be solved over a short period of time, adding that existing concrete positive results must be reported.
"The Cabinet's task is to achieve every thing that must be achieved. However, there will be future reports", Stanishev said.
The PM pointed out that Democracy in Bulgaria was still young and had its problems including vote buying during elections.
Stanishev considers that changes in the Law for Party Financing need to be made along with corrections throughout the entire election lawmaking system with the goal to motivate citizens to vote and limit the opportunities for vote buying.
"I adamantly reject the already systematic attempts to create false disagreements between the Cabinet and the Presidency", Stanishev further commented, pointing out that President Parvanov had always acted within his presidential rights.
"It is natural for a State leader to initiate actions and to criticize the Cabinet", Stanishev concluded.
