Fourteen Bulgarian municipalities are to receive up to BGN 500,000 each for road repairments under the EU regional development operative programme.
On Wednesday, the mayors of the municipalities that had their projects approved signed agreements for the financial support.
These are the first major agreements signed under the program as the money provided is enough for considerable improvement of the condition of the roads in these municipalities, Minister of Regional Development Assen Gagauzov commented.
The municipalities that received financing are: Popovo, Blagoevgrad, Targovishte, Kardzhali, Lovech, Gorna Oriahovitsa, Lyaskovets, Sozopol, Sandanski, Mezdra, Varna, Aksakovo, and Samokov.
