A total of 30 new adopters received Saturday their passports, certifying they are to take care of some of the animals in Sofia's zoo.
"The adopters are both physical and juridical persons," the park's Director Ivan Ivanov said.
The number of those, who allocated part of their money to provide better conditions in the zoo, has already exceeded 100.
"That means about one third of the animals have someone, who looks after them," the director explained.
Until now, Bulgaria's Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski is the only person, who gave up the role of an adopter. He took that responsibility as a Sofia mayor runner at the elections in 2003.
