Bulgaria's world-famous Panagyurishte gold treasure dating back to Thracian times is to turn into the sensation of this year's spring Plovdiv Fair to be held May 12 -17.

The nine unique gold artefacts, seven wine rhytons, an amphora and a food dish, will be kept behind armoured windows under exclusive security measures.

The fair's visitors will become part of the hundreds of thousands European citizens, who had the opportunity to enjoy the treasure's view.

Panagyurishte gold will then head for Saragossa to represent Bulgaria at a world expo to be held in the big Spanish city.

The treasure has already been displayed in Paris, Basel, Switzerland, Brussels, Japan, etc.

The artefacts reveal the virtuosity of ancient goldsmiths, who have reached the pinnacle of arts. The treasure is a witness to a particularly brilliant civilization and impress with their decorative richness.
