The Bulgarian Environmental Minister Chakurov has issued an order for the restoration of the sand dunes close to the resort of Nessebar that were damage by construction works.
Bulgaria's Environmental Minister Dzhevdet Chakurov ordered Wednesday the removal of all construction facilities in the Sand Dunes area around the Black Sea resort of Nessebar.
Chakurov also ordered that the restoration of the natural environment to its previous state, the press service of the Environmental Ministry announced.
In November 2007 the National Environmental Protection Service allowed the installation of wooden facilities close to the town of Nessebar.
However, the environmentalists from the "Ecoglasnost" party announced on Tuesday that construction was in progress in the Sand Dunes area, and that it was being urbanized and systematically destroyed.
The inspection of the Regional Environmental Directorate in the city of Burgas found certain violations, and their report was followed by Minister Chakurov's order.
The Environmental Ministry promised that the dunes would be completely restored to their previous condition, and the Minister himself was going to make sure that this tool place as soon as possible.
