Bulgaria Opens First Fitness Centre for Disabled People Training

Society | April 7, 2008, Monday // 00:00

The first fitness center for training of disabled people is to be opened in Bulgaria's coastal city of Varna.

The idea of establishing the facility belongs to Stela Eneva - a track-and-field athletics champion and chairwoman of sport club for disabled people and veterans "Atlant".

The money for the equipment of the gym has been won by the club after it took part in a project, developed by the State Agency for Youth and Sports.

The hall to be used for the important social activities has been placed at the invalids' disposal for free for ten years.

The training will be performed at three levels - healthy activities, amateur and professional sport training.
