NATO peacekeepers have closed two border crossings between Kosovo and Serbia on Tuesday and stepped up its presence in the area, due to escalating violence.
Serbs torched and blew up crossing points at Jarinje and Banja, Kosovo authorities said as cited by Darik News.
The illegal Serbian grouping named Tzar Lazar Guard announced volunteers in the organisation along with Serbs from the enclaves in Kosovo are removing the fake border between Serbia and the province.
In the clashes more than 10 cars of the Kosovo police were set on fire before KFOR moved in to stop violence, correspondents reported.
"We are reinforcing in northern Kosovo after these two incidents," KFOR spokesman, Colonel Bertrand Bonneau said, adding that all necessary means would be used to put the situation under control.
The Tzar Lazar Guard previously vowed to wage a war in case Kosovo becomes independent and started gathering volunteers.
