Bulgaria is to see relatively warm and sunny weather in February with the mercury zooming up to 16C, meteorologists reported.

The average temperature in the plain parts of the country is expected to be lower than normal and higher in the mountain regions.

The monthly temperatures in the high mountains are to reach values set at between -8C and -4C although the sun is to shine brightly there most of the time.

Forecasters predict great amount of rain and snowfalls in the period 16-20th of February and in the last two days of the month.

The number of the cloudy days is to be at least ten and the sun will break through in about five days.
