Severe weather conditions forced Bulgaria's mountain rescuers to stop the search for a missing tourist, who got lost Sunday in the Stara Planina mountain range.

The rescue team are currently in a chalet in the mountain waiting for the weather to improve, as the snow storm and the strong winds raging in Stara Planina have made the search impossible.

Authorities reported that three youngsters left a chalet yesterday attempting to cross the mountain ridge but the weather quickly worsened and one of them went missing.

Rescuers warned that the current weather conditions are severe in all Bulgarian mountains and tourists should not leave shelters until the storm stops.
