The flu epidemic that doctors warn is spreading across Bulgaria has started to close schools in several towns in the country.
A total of 20 schools in the Northern Bulgarian town of Montana, as well as one school in Southern Kardzhali were closed on Monday, officials from the Education Ministry announced.
Doctors also warned of flu epidemic gaining momentum in the regions of Stara Zagora and Pazardzhik.
Experts say that the warm weather that followed the arctic temperatures and heavy snowfalls in Bulgaria is what triggered the epidemics.
