Numerous flights have been cancelled at all airports across Bulgaria due to the dense fog that still blankets the country.

Planes from Athens, Bologna, and Bucharest will not be allowed to land at Sofia Airport, its web site informs.

A total of two flights to Bologna and one to Athens are also not going to take off from Bulgaria's capital city.

The forecasts claim the meteorological conditions will improve starting Saturday.

The employees at the Bulgarian airports demanded that the airlines should give them information in advance about the flights' redirecting so that the passengers could be informed in time.

The Black Sea port of Varna is also closed for all kind of vessels because of the low visibility.
