Bulgarian Firefighters have been kept busy during the last night with 59 fires across the country, which took one live and injured several others.

An 85-year old woman died after a fire broke out in her house in the central Bulgarian town of Gabrovo. According to firemen, the reason for the blaze was a stove the woman used.

Careless usage of a gas heating device reportedly caused a fire in a house in the southern town of Haskovo, in which a 71-year-old woman was injured, while an 18 year old youngster from coastal Burgas is in hospital after an electric heater burst in fire.

Firefighters advice people to be careful when using heating devices, pointing out that a great number of blazes happen during holidays.
