EU Commissioner for consumer protection Meglena Kouneva joined a Christmas party, held within her Europe-wide initiative to raise awareness of dangerous products, particularly children' toys, in the busy holiday period.

The party, which took place at City Centre Sofia, was the last event on the agenda of the commission during her two-day visit to Bulgaria.

The "Safe Christmas! Be careful what you offer to your kids!" campaign focuses primarily on informing consumers on the dangers of some widespread products, but also includes a pact with producers to provide more information on their products.
