Rescuers saved early Sunday a 16-year-old missing snowboarder, lost in the Vitosha mountain near Sofia.

A total of 32 mountaineers from Bulgaria's Mountain Rescue Service searched for the teenager for hours in the thick fog before they found him around 4 a.m.

The snowboarder decided to go down the mountain around 4 p.m. on Saturday but could not find the right way back home and his mother called the rescuers an hour later.

Mountaneers advice tourist to keep in mind the meteorological conditions and be prepared for temperatures about -14.
